Since 1896, we've evolved from a small footwear shop on New York City's Lower East Side into a trusted name in the industry. In 1931, we opened a factory in New Jersey, proudly making footwear there for decades. While production began moving overseas in the 1980s to meet growing demand and changing global dynamics, the factory remained an important part of our heritage until its official closure in 2022. We are proud to still call New Jersey our home.
Our foundation is built on decades of trusted expertise, a commitment to craft, and a deep respect for the relationships that fuel our business. As we look ahead, we remain focused on creating meaningful connections through thoughtful design, authentic storytelling, and a forward-thinking approach to brand building.

Our Process
DESIGN
Design is at the heart of SG Companies. Our talented team specializes in men’s, women’s, and kids’ footwear across both licensed and private label brands. With a strong focus on creativity and relevance, they bring each brand’s DNA to life through thoughtful, on-trend design. From lifestyle to outdoor, every product is built to connect with today’s consumer.
SALES
Our Sales Team takes a customer-first approach that moves beyond traditional selling. We lead with great product, build meaningful relationships, and bring our brands to life through compelling storytelling. By asking the right questions and listening closely, we collaborate with our partners to deliver smart, customized solutions that truly meet their needs.
E-COMMERCE
E-commerce remains a critical and fast-growing part of our business and is a cornerstone of SG’s broader omni-channel strategy. As digital commerce continues its rapid expansion, we’re investing in new technology to better serve our customers and grow across channels, marketplaces, licenses, and brands.
LICENSING
At SG Companies, our portfolio includes a dynamic mix of lifestyle and fashion brands. We build strong, collaborative partnerships and bring deep expertise in accelerating brand growth and performance—helping our partners scale with speed, strategy, and impact.
LOGISTICS
From factory floor to your door. We leverage our global operations network to deliver your goods where you want them, when you want them, and how you want them. With Sourcing offices in Hong Kong and China along with dedicated warehouse space in CA, we are well equipped to take on any size program.
SOURCING
The SG Companies has an extensive sourcing network througout Asia. Our diverse factory base provides high quality product to a wide range of customers. SG’s Quality Control Team works tirelessly to meet all necessary compliance and safety requirements that our brands, licenses and retail partners demand.
